JERUSALEM, Israel - Have we finally found the royal tombs of the Kings of Judah, descendants of King David and the forefathers of Jesus Christ?
Àü¿¡ ¾Æ¶øÀÎ ½ÃÀåÀÌ ÀÖ¾ú´ø ¿¹·ç»ì·½ÀÇ ¿¾ µµ½Ã º® ¾ÈÂÊ¿¡ Ä«Å縯 µµ¹Ì´ÏÄÁ ¼öµµ½ÂµéÀÇ ¿À·¡µÈ ¼öµµ¿øÀÌ ÀÚ¸®ÇÏ°í ÀÖ´Ù. ÀÌ°÷Àº ½ºµ¥¹ÝÀÌ ¼ø±³ÇÑ ÀÚ¸®·Î ¹Ï¾îÁö°í Àֱ⠶§¹®¿¡ ¼º ½ºµ¥¹Ý ¼öµµ¿øÀ¸·Î ¾Ë·ÁÁ® ÀÖ´Ù.
Inside the walled, Old City of Jerusalem, past an Arab market place, stands the old Monastery of the Catholic Dominican Fathers. It is also known as the Monastery of St. Stephen as it is believed to be the site of Stephen's martyrdom.

The walls of this serene monastery also enclose the world renowned Ecole Biblique, host to possibly the most complete biblical library in the world.
¼öµµ¿ø ÁöÇÏ¿¡´Â 13¹ÌÅÍ ¾Æ·¡ÀÇ ¸ÅÀå½Ç·Î À̾îÁö´Â °è´ÜµéÀÌ ÀÖ´Ù. ÀÌ°÷¿¡ ±Ù´ë ¼ºÁö Áö¸®¿¬±¸ ¼³¸³ÀÚÀÎ ÈѸ¯½º M. ¾Æº§°ú °°Àº Àü¼³ÀûÀÎ ¼º°æÇÐÀÚµé ¸î ºÐÀÌ ¹¯ÇôÀÖ´Ù.
Underneath the monastery, there is a flight of stairs that leads 43 feet (13 meters) underground to a burial chapel. Some of the legendary figures of biblical scholarship were buried here such as Felix M. Abel, founder of the modern geographical study of the Holy Land.

The inside of the 7th century BC catacomb which is believed to be the final resting place of the Kings of Judah, the ancestors of Jesus Christ.
±×·¯³ª ÀÌ ±Ù´ë ÁöÇϸÅÀåÁö µÚ¿¡´Â ¿¬´ë°¡ ¿¹¼öÀÇ ½Ã´ë·Î »ý°¢µÇ´Â ÈξÀ ¿À·¡µÈ īŸÄÞÀÌ ÀÖ´Ù.
However, behind this modern burial crypt lies a much older catacomb, one that was thought to date back to the time of Jesus.
Áø½Ç·Î ¼ö ¼¼±â¿¡ °ÉÃÄ ÀÌ ÁöÇÏ ¸ÅÀå½ÇÀº Á߿伺À» ±×´ÙÁö ÀÎÁ¤¹ÞÁö ¸øÇß¾ú´Ù. ±×·¯³ª ÃÖ±Ù¿¡ ÀÌ·ç¾îÁø °í°íÇÐ Á¶»ç´Â ±× ¸ÅÀ嵿±¼ÀÌ ½ÇÁ¦·Î ¼Ö·Î¸ó ¿Õ¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ¼¼¿öÁø ù ¹ø° ¼ºÀüÀÇ ¶§·Î ¿¬´ë°¡ °Å½½·¯ ¿Ã¶ó°£´Ù´Â °ÍÀÌ µå·¯³µ´Ù.
Indeed, throughout the ages, not much importance was attached to this chamber. But a recent archaeological survey has revealed that the burial cave actually dates back to the time of the First Temple of Jerusalem built by King Solomon.
°Ô´Ù°¡ ÀϺΠÇÐÀÚµéÀº ÀÌ Ä«Å¸ÄÞÀÌ ¼º°æ¿¡¼ ¸Å¿ì Áß¿äÇÑ ¿ªÇÒÀ» Çß°í, ¶Ç ¿¹¼ö ±×¸®½ºµµÀÇ Á¶»óµéÀÎ À¯´Ù ¿ÕÁ¶ÀÇ ÃÖÁ¾¾È½ÄóÀÏ °ÍÀ¸·Î ÇöÀç ¹Ï°í ÀÖ´Ù.
Moreover, some scholars now believe that this catacomb may well be the final resting place of a dynasty which played a very significant roll in the Bible and where the royal ancestors of Jesus Christ.
¹«´ý ³»ºÎ¿¡¼ »ÀµéÀÌ ¹ß°ßµÇ¾ú´Ù. ±×°Íµé °¡¿îµ¥ ¾î¶² °ÍµéÀº ¿¬´ë°¡ ¼Ö·Î¸ó ¿ÕÀÇ ¼ºÀüÀÇ ¶§ÀÇ °ÍÀ¸·Î ¹àÇôÁ® ÀÌ ¹«´ýÀÇ »ÀµéÀÌ À¯´Ù ¿ÕµéÀÇ °ÍµéÀÏ °ÍÀ̸®¶ó.
Inside the tomb, bones were found. Some of them date to the time of King Solomon's Temple and may well be those of the Kings of Judah.
