예수 시대의 보트
1986년 겨울
갈릴리 호숫가에서 발견되어 벹 위길 알론 박물관에 전시되고 있는 예수
시대(주전 1세기에서 주후 1세기경)의 보트이며, 갈릴리 호수에서 발견된
유일한 보트이다. 크기는 8.2 x 2.3 x 1.2미터이며, 일곱가지 형태의
나무로 만들어졌다.
Jesus Boat
The Ancient Boat located in the Yigil Allon
Center was discovered by Moshe and Yuval Lofan from Ginosar, by
the shore of the Sea of Galilee, south of Kibutz Ginosar. It is
the only ancient boat discovered in the Sea of Galilee. The boat
is dated to the period covering the first century B.C.E. through
the first century C.E. The seabed clay had protected the remains
from deterioration over the centuries. The boat measures 8.2 x 2.3
meters and contains 7 wood types. It was used by local villagers
in the time of Jesus for fishing and transport.
